Weight Lost Ping G15 Irons Review

The technology of the Ping G15 Irons provides the high-launching, maximum forgiveness attributes that bring consistency to your ping irons play. The G15 iron face is thinner than previous iron models allowing for substantial weight to be added to the toe of the club this weight redistribution produces a higher MOI which is obviously the name of the game when it comes to forgiveness on off-centre hits. The G15 is still one of the most forgiving golf clubs for sale on the market that you can buy, and around the Christmas you can take them home from online shops at a very good price.

The sole of the Ping G15 Irons is instrumental in helping get the ball in the air quickly as it disperses the MOI evenly across the bottom of the club. This is designed to reduce the total weight of the club and when combined with a thinner face a more forgiving club and higher launching club for mis-hits is possible. Stronger lofts combine with a low center of gravity (CG) located low and farther from the face produce longer shots without sacrificing the higher trajectory needed with a game improvement iron. Another revision for the G15 line is the previously mentioned new Custom Tuning Port (CTP) which has been repositioned and saves 7g which is redistributed to the club’s perimeter to increase MOI (Moment of Inertia).

In terms of forgiveness, the performance of the Ping G15 Irons was very impressive. Off the fairway the clubs were so accurate, and the golf ball always held its line very well once airbourne. Anyone who has trouble hitting enough greens in regulation could certainly see some benefit in using these irons.

4511. HMAS VENDETTA [I] made her first run on the ‘Tobruk Ferry Service’ on May 8, 1941, but was then diverted to the reinforcement and eventual evacuation of Crete. From May 26, 1941 to August 2-3, VENDETTA made 20 of the hazardous runs into Tobruk, transporting 1532 troops in, and carrying 2,950 wounded and other evacuees out. During this time she also rescued the crew and 275 troops from the RN destroyer HMS DEFENDER which had been crippled in a bombing attack.

After her flotilla leader HMAS STUART left the Mediterranean on one engine in August 1941, VENDETTA transferred to the 7th Destroyer Flotilla and continued convoying from Egypt to Syria and Cyprus until she too – on October 20, 1941- finally departed the Med. for a refit in Singapore. VENDETTA would be found immobilized in dockyard hands at the fall of Singapore in February 1942, and was taken in an epic three months tow, most of the way by the former Chinese river steamer HMAS PING WO, to Melbourne.

Question by DODGER FAN TILL I DIE: what are the best ping irons?

Answer by c g +1
Actually I would go with the i10s. Still forgiving but less offset and more workable. Great set of irons.

What do you think? Answer below!

http://www.miamigolf.com PING’s first forged design, Ping Anser carries the same name as earlier models Karsten Solheim produced before he transitioned a popular investment casting process. This is a new version that pushes the forging process to create performance benefits not previously associated with a forged club. This forged, multi-metal design, combines an 8620 steel body, and a dense tungsten sole and machined grooves for unequalled forged-iron feel and forgiveness. It’s hollow-sole cavity softens feel and positions the CG for high-launching shots. This progressive set design offers long-iron forgiveness and short-iron control. http://www.miamigolf.com
