Today there are incresing number of people began to concern about golf sports. And more and more people are playing golf on the weekend. Do you know which brand clubs are hot? Yes, it is Ping.

Ping is coming out of the gate with quite possibly, the best “Super Game Improvement” irons on the market. The 2008 Ping Rapture V2 Irons are a game improvement club, primarily designed and made for the mid to high handicap golfer.

Building on the solid foundation of the original Rapture irons, the V2s offer even more forgiveness and feel in a smart looking package. These Raptures will probably see a lot of hype, and like most Pings they ain’t cheap. As I said earlier, the wide soles and slightly chunky top line belie this clubs overall balance. The Rapture V2 irons have a dense tungsten sole weight which positions the center of gravity low and away from the face.

The Ping Rapture V2 Irons are made of three different metals: the outside perimeter “shell” is made of 17-4 stainless steel. The lofts on the Rapture V2 irons are irons are slightly strong for super game improvement irons with the 3 iron starting at 20 degrees and the pitching wedge settling in at 45 degrees. The finish is the standard brushed iron look sported by most Ping irons. The face is a variable face thickness titanium insert while the toe has a dense tungsten insert for added toe weighting.

The Ping Rapture V2 irons leverage the multi-metal technology to not only launch the ball longer, but also higher and with more accuracy. These irons can make high handicappers look like mid handicappers, and mid handicappers look like competent low handicap players. This really isn’t an exaggeration.

Believe it or not, they are workable. Just realize that you’re hitting an oversized cavity back, and not a diminutive blade. Long and straight is definitely their strong suit, but high cuts, and baby draws are easily factored into the shot equation here too. As of 2011 the Ping Rapture V2 Irons tend to retail at around 9.99

More information on the shafts available, and the specifications for the Rapture V2 Irons can be found at the Discount Golf Clubs website.

Ping S56 vs. S57

The S57 Iron provides golfers who prefer
a tour-inspired design the ideal blend of feel, forgiveness and distance control. The small, stainless steel head is engineered as a players iron with an increased moment-of-inertia. A dense tungsten toe weight, longer hosel and a small cavity combine to raise the MOI for the additional forgiveness.

The S56
Its Stabilizing Bar Technology varies in width throughout the set to optimize each iron's CG location. In the long irons the bars are narrower to generate more distance from faster ball speeds and higher trajectories. The bars progress wider through the short irons to generate penetrating, controlled trajectories.

Go to Ping.com and do the on-line fitting test, click on “Custom Fitting” proceed to Web Fit. It will ask gender, dexterity, wrist to ground, palm to middle finger and middle finger measurement. This will match you up with a dot color to aid in lie angle. For the best fitting on-line…select that dot color for Ping clubs.
